Kim S.
Private tutor in Long Branch, NJ
Education
Junior Anthropology major at Monmouth University
Experience
Previously I have tutored friends from school and my younger siblings. I have not tutored for any organizations before but I learn fast and consider myself enthusiastic enough to help with any subject. I want to be a tutor because I believe that people can learn anything they want and I love teaching and helping others learn that the pursuit of knowledge can be fun. I have previously worked with New Jersey Community Water Watch through NJPIRG which helps to promote river clean ups, monitor streams and rivers in New Jersey, and educate local schools and organizations on water health and how they can help. I have interned for this group and have helped organize a project called Beach Sweep in Long Branch where a group of over 100 students and locals cleaned up the beach along with similar groups up and down the Jersey coast. I have also been a volunteer teacher in a Tei Kwon Do institution in South Jersey, helping children learn martial arts and keep active. I also recently took part in the Study Abroad Program and attended the Regent's American College of London in Regent's Park.
